Veeam Availability Suite v10: Configuration and Management

Few days ago, I found out one of the column data in customer table has been changed. When you have multiple offices, you may wish to deploy Veeam Backup & Replication in a more advanced setup, as illustrated here: Figure 1.2 – Advanced or distributed architecture installation This deployment depicts the advanced or distributed setup of the application across more than one office where Enterprise Manager would see both backup servers. Veeam DataLabs takes this functionality and expands it to include use cases and business value. DataLabs creates isolated sandboxes where new things can be tried out in an effort to accelerate innovations without risking actual workloads. Like the greater purpose of Hyper-Availability, By leveraging well-managed data for secondary purposes with Veeam DataLabs, organizations can gain inordinately better ROI than just the assurance of recoverability alone. Part two of this three-part whitepaper series walks through the configuration of Veeam DataLabs from start to finish in order to run our first jobs. In order for this to work, we need to create three things in Veeam Backup & Replication.

The command below highlights the parameters available for Staged Restore functionality during a full VM failover. The good news is, for Veeam customers who are losing sleep at night over compliance or other use cases, the latest release of Veeam Availability Suite includes Veeam DataLabs Staged Restore, which is a new and powerful feature designed to help manage compliance and ensure that sensitive data is removed from backups before the data has a chance to make it back to a live environment.

If you need to perform tests for production VMs, you can use an On-Demand Sandbox TM.The On-Demand Sandbox is an isolated virtual environment where you can start one or more VMs from backups, VM replicas or VMs from storage snapshots. Veeam Application Groups are an essential component used by both SureBackup and DataLabs configurations jobs. In particular, Veeam Application Groups allow to create a logical grouping of all the server required to satisfy particular dependencies on services and components.
